What is Meditation?
Meditation is a method for deep relaxation which has been practised for thousands of years. This ancient art involves contemplation whilst focusing your mind. It is also the art of ‘not’ focusing the mind.
Some forms of meditation such as visualisation or guided meditation require you to focus your mind on a scene, thought, picture or an object. Whereas some other forms require you to be still and observe thoughts as they flow freely.
Either way, it is a practice that can help you to understand everything in your life more clearly.
Meditation for Beginners
During a visualisation or guided meditation as you relax your body and start to focus your mind. All the jumbled thoughts in your mind start to diminish as you focus on your subject. This is probably the best way for new beginners.

Many studies show, a regular meditation practice offers numerous health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, strengthening the immune system, and releasing stress and fatigue. Meditation can help with pain management. It can also help to reduce negative emotions such as anger and resentment. It is relaxing and calming, reduces anxiety and promotes a sense of peace and purpose.
